Bauhaus building as set for new Israeli movie
A Bauhaus-building in the Dov-Hoz Street no. 8 was used a few weeks ago as set for a new Israeli feature: Snails in the Rain, directed by Yariv Mozer, produced by Hila Aviram and based on a short story by Yossi Avni Levy. Jerusalem Moments /09 in Tel Aviv
Last Thursday,November the 12th, the Cinematheque Tel Aviv screened the Tel Aviv premiere of Jerusalem Moments/09, a documentary that leaves you speechless, from artistic director Yael Perlov and produced by Yariv Mozer. Jerusalem Moments/09 shows you 7 short documentaries directed by 7 Palestinian and Israeli directors (Momen Shabaneh, Liviu Babic, Sabri Markesto, Avi Goldstein, Yasmine Novak, Radwan Duha and Daniel Gal). The premiere screenig was attended by representatives of the Embassies of Egypt, Finland, Germany, Italy and Australia. Guests of honor were a group youngsters from Ramallah (Westbank) and East, Arab Jerusalem and Ilan de Vries, director of the Jerusalem International Film Festival. Visual masterworks from a small office
You have to go one stair down on the Nordau Boulevard for the Mozer Films Ltd. of Yariv Mozer. From his small, dynamic office came masterpieces as the international awards winning documentary, directed by Yariv: My First War, Jerusalem Moments/09 (it left me speechless!!) from artistic-director Yael Perlov and produced by Yael and Yariv, and the soon to be released documentary There Must Be an Other Way, about the Jewish and Arab singers Noa and Mira Awad.
