Photo’s of Tel Aviv Fever editor in Dutch Playboy Magazine
Tel Aviv Fever editor Ed Hofschreuder was asked to provide photo’s of Tel Aviv to illustrate an article about the Israel/Tel Aviv experience of Dutch Playboy Magazine editor Jan Heemskerk, chief editor Marcel Langedijk and friend Joel Fresco under the title: “Playboy’s Wild Weekends” It is a fun story with mixed feelings of the three, but the overall question, “Is Israel no fun?” is answered in the article: “Are you crazy? Israel is fantastic. They are only a bit fanatic about … Read entire article »

Thoughts, prayer and pictures
Our thoughts are with the families that lost their children or have them wounded physically, or mentally… Bradley Burston of Ha’aretz wrote this beautiful prayer called: “A straight’s prayer for young Israelis shot for being gay” [before on Tel Aviv Fever] … Read entire article »
The Pollack House on Herzl Street
Herewith some pictures (July 17th 2009) from the Pollack House (1910) on Herzl Street no. 1. In this building was the studio of Avraham Soskin (1881- 1963). Thanks to him we have photo archives of the early history of Tel Aviv. His most famous picture is of course: the seashell lottery, 3 km north of Yafo on April 11th 1909. I think it is time that the Municipality of Tel Aviv start to honor her most famous photographer and start to restore the building and re-open his studio as a museum! … Read entire article »

Tel Aviv Diary
Tel Aviv is a great place to be, I knew that. But I really had to acclimatize to it again… Not only the heat, but its pace, the way it smells and it’s noices… But it is absolutely great to be home… I started ‘running’ from day one because I wanted to suck it all into me. I am glad that it is shabbat now… Just for its rest… It’s been a few days that we put something on Tel Aviv Fever, just because of this acclimatizing. Frits and I have been talking a lot. We are there, do not forget about us. ;-) … Read entire article »

High level dinner in Tel Aviv
I know this is not for everybody. No, not even for me… ;-) But I think Tel Aviv is one of the best places for this Dinner in the Sky. Originally from cold and wet Belgium ;-) , you can have a dinner, thoroughly strapped to your seat and a chef doing his thing high up in the sky. In Israel you don’t have to bother about an weather insurance. If you are not Dutch (or Belgian) don’t listen to the reporter, but (Dutch language video exchanged for English one). Watch the fun and view (and wish the people bete’avon and a safe landing): The builders also put pictures on their website: HERE The Belgian Embassy in Tel Aviv put it on their site too: HERE ;-D … Read entire article »
