Yafa’s Palestinian folklore and culture festival
A two day (July 23rd and 24th) Palestinian folklore and culture festival will take place in the Elsaraya theater in Jaffa’s old-city, with a theater show (Cappucino in Ramalla), the movie Jaffa, directed by Eyal Sivan, an Arab, English, Hebrew book fair, Palestinian cuisine, traditional Palestinian dresses and an oud-music show by Elias Wakileha. Coffee Project at Cinematheque Tel Aviv
Eleven filmakers, Israeli and Palestian, embarked on a journey to create short films – fiction and documentary – inspired by… coffee. Jerusalem Moments /09 in Tel Aviv
Last Thursday,November the 12th, the Cinematheque Tel Aviv screened the Tel Aviv premiere of Jerusalem Moments/09, a documentary that leaves you speechless, from artistic director Yael Perlov and produced by Yariv Mozer. Jerusalem Moments/09 shows you 7 short documentaries directed by 7 Palestinian and Israeli directors (Momen Shabaneh, Liviu Babic, Sabri Markesto, Avi Goldstein, Yasmine Novak, Radwan Duha and Daniel Gal). The premiere screenig was attended by representatives of the Embassies of Egypt, Finland, Germany, Italy and Australia. Guests of honor were a group youngsters from Ramallah (Westbank) and East, Arab Jerusalem and Ilan de Vries, director of the Jerusalem International Film Festival.
