Bar Refaeli graces cover of French travel magazine

Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli continues her unofficial role representing Israel abroad as she graces on the December cover (no.23/2009) of the French travel magazine: L’Officiel Voyage with the headline: “Tel Aviv avec Bar Rafaeli”. The 11 page spread article about Tel Aviv features some of the model’s favourite places in the city, including the Neve-Tsedek neighbourhood and the boardwalk. (The old Port of Tel Aviv). Intermediate Space Video Installation in Neve-Tsedek

On September 10th at 20.30 there will be large “Intermediate Space Video Installations” on the square in front of the Inbal Dance Theatre in the Neve-Tsedek neighborhood. This outdoor video-installation adress the space between ‘black and white’, between Tel Aviv “the White City” of Bauhaus modern architecture and its adoption of European ‘modernism’. It continues with a look at Tel Aviv of the Middle-East, including Jaffo and the southren neighborhoods. Curators are : Carmel Gottlieb Kimhi and Tali Navon. Tel Aviv is burning

No, there is no need to call the fire department, but if you have been here in Tel Aviv the last few weeks, you probably have felt that hell came down to visit. This Friday noon I hang out with a friend in Neve Tzedek. I’m used to the fact that in summer there is less traffic  (Israeli’s do travel), but both me and my friend were a little surprised to see only a small amount of people in the streets, many of them being French tourists. Even the  coffee shops were not very occupied. It seems that we, the rough and tough Israelis were defeated by the sun.
