Documentary The Flat wins an Ophir Award 2011
Last Thursday-evening 98 minutes documentary The Flat, directed by Arnon Goldfinger received the Award for Best Documentary at the Ophir Awards 2011 (the ‘Israeli Oscars’). It is the story about the grandparents of Arnon, who were living on the 3rd. floor of a Bauhaus building at 31, Gordon Street in Tel Aviv. Jerusalem Moments /09 in Tel Aviv
Last Thursday,November the 12th, the Cinematheque Tel Aviv screened the Tel Aviv premiere of Jerusalem Moments/09, a documentary that leaves you speechless, from artistic director Yael Perlov and produced by Yariv Mozer. Jerusalem Moments/09 shows you 7 short documentaries directed by 7 Palestinian and Israeli directors (Momen Shabaneh, Liviu Babic, Sabri Markesto, Avi Goldstein, Yasmine Novak, Radwan Duha and Daniel Gal). The premiere screenig was attended by representatives of the Embassies of Egypt, Finland, Germany, Italy and Australia. Guests of honor were a group youngsters from Ramallah (Westbank) and East, Arab Jerusalem and Ilan de Vries, director of the Jerusalem International Film Festival.
