Sticky and Funk Metal this week in Tel Aviv

We will have a swinging/rock/alternative metal week in Tel Aviv. On Tuesday the 1st of September and Wednesday the 2nd, her majesty the queen of pop Madonna will give here two shows ” Sticky and Sweet” in the HaYarkon Park with 17 dancers and a special quest DJ Paul Oakenfold. The shows will start at 18:00 (!). On Tuesday, September 1st the alternative, funk metal group: Faith no More, will give their concert at the Exhibition Grounds at 19.30 in Pavillion 1. Arik Einstein tribute

On July the 2nd there will be a large Arik Einstein tribute in the HaYarkon Park. This year it is Arik’s 70th birthday. In the long list of singers you will find Barry Sakharof, Rona Kenan, Ivri Lider, Ninet, Yoni Rechter, Maor Cohen, Shlomi Shabbat – and the list goes on and on. Good old Astor Hotel to be demolished

The cosy, ‘small’ (60 rooms) Astor Hotel (build in the 50s) on the corner of HaYarkon- and Frishman Street will be demolished after long court battles.
