Another ‘Opening’ film night in Levontin 7

For the 6th time now film director Eti Tsicko will organize a ‘short’ film evening on Tuesday, April 27th (22:30) at Levontin 7. The 4 ‘shorts  that will be screened are: ‘Wait For Me’, directed by Nimrod Shapira (TAU ); ‘What He Said’, directed by Omer Naot (TAU); ‘A Man Sleeping’, directed by Ophir Ben-Shimon (TAU) and ‘Attias’, directed by Udi Cagan (TAU). ‘Wait For Me’ is the official video clip of Moby’s new song. Sticky and Funk Metal this week in Tel Aviv

We will have a swinging/rock/alternative metal week in Tel Aviv. On Tuesday the 1st of September and Wednesday the 2nd, her majesty the queen of pop Madonna will give here two shows ” Sticky and Sweet” in the HaYarkon Park with 17 dancers and a special quest DJ Paul Oakenfold. The shows will start at 18:00 (!). On Tuesday, September 1st the alternative, funk metal group: Faith no More, will give their concert at the Exhibition Grounds at 19.30 in Pavillion 1. This was what you call…a SHOW!!!

Yesterday-evening, I watched from one of the press-towers for an hour, without one second break, an amazing spectacle. Hundreds of thousand of people jammed the Rabin-square and surrounding streets to see unbelievable light- and lasers shows, the most fantastic video-art about “old and new” Tel Aviv, singers, dancers (there were moments with more the 150 kids on stage on roller-skates, dancing and with flags of the three local soccer-clubs). It was ‘gimmick after gimmick’ , e.g. a singer was singing on stage, while her band was playing on a rooftop (!!) of one of the buildings surrounding Rabin-square. At the end…a ‘thundering’ trance-party (DJ); all of Rabin-square, young and old, went ‘out of their minds’ and they just stayed on the square dancing, swinging for a long time.
