First event in the new building of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art
A few weeks ago was the official opening of the beautiful new, expanded building of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. The Herta & Paul Amir Building is designed by Preston Scott Cohen, an architect from Cambridge, Massachusetts. On wednesday, November the 30th. Art and the city
Tel Aviv launches the art season , ‘Loving Art, Making Art’, with a city-wide open house, beginning this coming Thursday, October 14th, when over 75 museums , galleries and allernative spaces open their doors from 14:00 until 23:00 free of charge. ‘Healing Art’ sound installations and shows will line the boulevards from 19:00. A new face for Tel Aviv Fever: NOW
I am not really the type for good intentions for a new year, but so once you get to the end of a year you still tend to have thoughts like that. Since we made our jump start in March of last year we didn’t change much on Tel Aviv Fever. Some changes of the engine (WordPress) and some minor details. Now Frits and I thought it would be nice to change the face of Tel Aviv Fever (later), to give it a new fresh look and a few other possibilities and features you might like. We decided to do it NOW. The Braun-Rabinski House
On the corner of the Rothschild Boulevard and the Maze Street, you will find a three storey high Bauhaus-building with a beautiful glass stairwell, designed in 1933 by Josef and Wolf (Zeev) Berlin: the Braun-Rabinski House. The 584 square meters building was renovated in 1989, the stairwell and protruding concrete slabs were painted green and pink and the former smooth rendering replaced with a rough rendering.
