Herewith the first color film of Tel Aviv, made by an English soldier in the beginning of 1930. On the film (more then 4 minutes) you will see the building-work on the first white Bauhaus-buildings, Herzl Street and the Gymnasium-Herzliya, that was brutally ‘torn down’ by the municipality of Tel Aviv, Allenbey Street, the first Muncipality building on Bialik Square, some nice shots of Tel Aviv beach with the famous ‘Kadar’ -restaurant (a long time ago ‘destroyed’) and the fantastic Mugrabi Cinema on the corner of Allenbey- and Ben-Gurion Street, that was ‘pulled- down’ (this crime was done by 3 CAT-buldozers) in December 1995 and this spot, is until today..a ‘bloody’ parking place!!
