Joshua Faudem in Cinematheque Tel Aviv

Scriptwriter and film-director Joshua Faudem (‘Blues by the Beach’) will screen his documentary: ‘A Will to Dance’, which he shot in Praque, at Cinematheque Tel Aviv on August 29th. at 18:00. The screening is a part of a Czech film week, sponsored by the Czech Embassy and the Czech Center. At this moment Joshua is developing his first feature film, based on ‘A Will to Dance’. Coffee Project at Cinematheque Tel Aviv

Jaffa, a family-melodrama

The new feature Jaffa (Kalat Hayam), directed by Keren Yedaya, is screened, since last Saturday, in cinema’s all over Israel. It is Keren’s second feature. In this melodrama Mali Wolf , a Jewish girl has an secret affair with Toufik, an Arab boy from Jaffa. Mali is pregenant and they intend to go to Cyprus and get married… The plan is disrupted and the story starts to unfold… The main-cast in this powerfull drama are: Dany Ivgy, Moni Moshonov, Ronit Elkabetz, Mahmoud Shalaby, Lily Ivgy and Hussein Mahaine. Another ‘Opening’ film night in Levontin 7

For the 6th time now film director Eti Tsicko will organize a ‘short’ film evening on Tuesday, April 27th (22:30) at Levontin 7. The 4 ‘shorts  that will be screened are: ‘Wait For Me’, directed by Nimrod Shapira (TAU ); ‘What He Said’, directed by Omer Naot (TAU); ‘A Man Sleeping’, directed by Ophir Ben-Shimon (TAU) and ‘Attias’, directed by Udi Cagan (TAU). ‘Wait For Me’ is the official video clip of Moby’s new song. The Infected in HaYarkon Park

Yesterday, a bright-sunny morning, was the 2nd day of combat-training of the so called ‘Infected’ (in HaYarkon Park, Tel Aviv) for the post apocalyptic action/horror film: ‘Another World’, directed by Eitan Reuven and produced by Shlomi Aviner and Eitan Reuven (art director: Monique Friedlander). I did find an bunch of young people (cast and crew) full with spirit and soul. It was the first time that some of the ‘Infected’ received their make up and the results were just awesome and…scary!! The shooting of the new feature will start on April 21st and will take place (most of the part) in Hod-Hasharon, a small place, north of Tel-Aviv. Last Friday, Hannah Brown (for years the cinema-reviewer of the daily) mentioned our website Tel Aviv Fever in her weekly column CineFile in the Billboard Entertainment Guide of April 2nd. A cinema/love story….

The day before yesterday, I watched an incredible, touching story on Channel 22 (Israeli TV) about the Israeli film-director Victor Brown, who is shooting (with near no budget and volunteers) his new film: Symphony, about the live of Ludwig von Beethoven and his 9th Symphony) with famous Israeli actor: Assi Dayan.
