Municipality TLV: no new skyscrapers in center

Jaffa, a family-melodrama

The new feature Jaffa (Kalat Hayam), directed by Keren Yedaya, is screened, since last Saturday, in cinema’s all over Israel. It is Keren’s second feature. In this melodrama Mali Wolf , a Jewish girl has an secret affair with Toufik, an Arab boy from Jaffa. Mali is pregenant and they intend to go to Cyprus and get married… The plan is disrupted and the story starts to unfold… The main-cast in this powerfull drama are: Dany Ivgy, Moni Moshonov, Ronit Elkabetz, Mahmoud Shalaby, Lily Ivgy and Hussein Mahaine. Dvora Bertonov: Perpetual motion

I did find a lovely article in Haaretz Magazine, last Friday, written by Ruth Eshl about the famous dancer, choreographer, teacher and scholar Dvora Bertonov,who died two weeks ago at the age of 95 in Tel Aviv. Dvora, born in Georgia in 1915, immigrated with her family to Palestine in 1915 and settled in Tel Aviv. WOW: Houses from Within 2010

One of the – to my opinion – greatest events in Tel Aviv-Yafo is Houses from Within. Coming weekend (May 7th and 8th) the 2010 (and 4th) edition will take place on almost 150 (!) locations.
