Madonna‘s succesful shows, last week in Tel Aviv, have paid the way for more international top artists to follow her lead.
Promotor Shuki Weiss declared today that he was so impressed by the sales of the two Madonna concerts (100.000 tickets) and said that the international music-world views Israel now as in important market (the 45.000 tickets for the concert of Leonard Cohen, September the 24th, were sold within 24 hours). Shuki said that Coldplay will perform in Tel Aviv some between May and June 2010 and U2 between June and September 2010. Coldplay had planned to perform in Tel Aviv this month, but due to busy performance schedule, decided to postpone the trip.
