Being there
A long, interesting article I did found in Haaretz Magazine (August 14 ) written by Ariel Hirschfeld about the new movie: Ajami, directed by Scandar Copti and Yaron Shani.
The movie, about a neighborhood in Yafo, won the Wolgin Prize for best feature film this year at the Jerusalem Film Festival and a ‘”honorable mention” at the Cannes Film Festival 2009. The movie is in the race to be send to next year’s Oscar celebrations.

http://bit.ly/BQWGb ~ from Real Teal Aviv blog article: Ajami the movie is playing in Israeli theaters. It is a collection of stories from the Ajami neighborhood in Jaffa. It's a dark movie about life of young friends, how their lives connects to each other and the outside world. A testament to freedom of speech and creative expression of Arabs in Israel (Muslims & Christians)
