‘The Houses from Within Project‘ (www.batim-il.org) will allow the public to see some of Tel Aviv‘s architectural gems from the inside over the weekend of May 8-9. The event is being held in the framework of the city’s Centennial celebrations. Dozens of buildings across Tel Aviv – private apartments , lofts, urban villas, synagogues, churches and public structures – will open their doors (free of charge) to give visitors a glimpse of the city’s various designs over the years.  This is the 3rd year Tel Aviv is hosting Houses from Within, but this time it will be on a large scale than its previous incarnations.

My great uncle built the first Tel Aviv building with an elevator…."pensak's passage' on Herzl Street. Two years ago, when we last saw it, it was decaying and a shambles. Has it been repaired for the Centenial? This historic building really deserves a facelift!
