Riding a bike is alway nice ;) Not every one of countries can be like The Netherlands – sorry ;) You should try riding a bike safely in Poland – it's pretty difficult, it needs a lot of courage, imagination and nerves of steel ;) I know something about it :) so i can say I love riding a bike in TLV :))))

Its great especially on summer time, with 95% humidity, bus smoke and crazy drivers playing bowling with you….real fun;-)

I would say take another (safer) road. This is what I do here too! But I have been driving (a safe car) in Israel, so I know what you mean. But I still prefer everything what you say over cold, rain and so on. ;-)
