…and then they get stolen… ;-(

This article in Haaretz triggered my thoughts about bikes in Tel Aviv.

As a Dutchman I was born on a bike several years ago…and lived in a tent every vacation (voluntary, my parents decided), rain or no rain. ;-)

The best place to ride a bike on this planet is Tel Aviv, don’t forget about that. The weather and atmosphere are heaven for riding around. The last few years I have been dreaming of riding through Tel Aviv on a bike, camera ready (like always).

If you have a bike, use it! And then don’t let them steal it! You deserve it! (The bike I mean! ;-D )

If it gets stolen do not forget to file a complaint at the police station!

Be safe!

  1. I would say take another (safer) road. This is what I do here too! But I have been driving (a safe car) in Israel, so I know what you mean. But I still prefer everything what you say over cold, rain and so on. ;-)
    Be safe!

Its great especially on summer time, with 95% humidity, bus smoke and crazy drivers playing bowling with you….real fun;-)

Riding a bike is alway nice ;) Not every one of countries can be like The Netherlands – sorry ;) You should try riding a bike safely in Poland – it's pretty difficult, it needs a lot of courage, imagination and nerves of steel ;) I know something about it :) so i can say I love riding a bike in TLV :))))
