Top 5 hummus joints in Tel-Aviv
Natan Abramovich wrote in the Ha’aretz-daily an article about the 5 best Hummus joints in Tel-Aviv (to his taste):
- Hummus Ashkara in the Yeremiyahu Street 45
- Hummus Abu Adham in the Carlebach Street 7
- Hummus Aba Gil in the Yehuda Ha-Levie Street 55
- Hummus Said in the Menahem Begin Road 12
- Hummus Mashawa in the Pinkster Street 40
Before you start to eat , let me tell you the ingredients:

Hummus
- 250 grams fresh chickpeas (canned is easier, but not as tasty and healthy)
- keep the liquid of the chickpeas (freshly cooked or canned)
- juice of 2-3 lemons
- 2 – 6 tablespoons of tahini/tehina
- 2 -3 cloves garlic, crushed2 tablespoons parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 table spoons (good) olive oil
- and…don’t forget the round, hot pita-bread
I prefer it with a shot of arack :)
Bon appetit!

I prefer a good shot of zhug, a HOT Yemenite peper paste… And had it with shakshukah in the middle, last summer…
You can keep the arack… ;-)
Bete’avon!
I know Ed..and a glass of Spa-red??
Still,I think,ARACK with 2 cubes of ice will do it:)
Schweppes tonic, tea with nana or Diet Coke would do… ;-D
