Mike’s (a) Place to Be

Mike's Place Tel Aviv crew
In July 2001 Gal and Assaf Ganzman opened almost right on the beach, next to the US-embassy, a ‘rocking’ place called: ‘Mike’s Place’ (Herbert Samuel no. 86). The friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere provides a welcome contrast to the trendy and often prentious local nightlive.
You will find Israelian young and old, tourists from all over the world drinking their large beers from the many different taps or a good-old Scottish whiskey in their hands, swinging and rocking to one of the live blues/rock or reggea bands. If you have some luck: ‘SOBO’ , a blues/rock duo (Assaf Ganzman and Daniel Kriman) will “blow you to the roof”.
Mike’s broadcast , on different screens, live local sport games, Scottish and English football, NFL, NBA and the most important tennis games.
The owner/barman Gal “got a good eye” for girls, because the most gorgious waitresses will bring your drinks and food and at the end of the night , they will swing/rock with you on one of the tables:)…and…only English spoken (also to the Israeli customer).
If you didn’t visit Mike’s Place, you missed a part of Tel-Aviv.
